Charles S. Noon


Charles Stanton (Chuck) Noon, 78, Lanesville, died Sunday, Jan. 18, 2015.
He was a former president and member of Ironworkers Local No. 70, a thoroughbred horse trainer and a member and director of the Indiana Horsemen’s Benevolent and Protection Association.
Survivors include his wife of 60 years, the former Greta Stewart; seven children, Charles P., John Derek, Bridget M., Taz S. and Eddie Noon, Terra Ehlers and Theresa L. Baker; three sisters, Julie Metzler, Ethel Bottom and Martha Busby; 14 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
Visitation: Wednesday, Jan. 21, from 5 to 8 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 22, from noon to 8 p.m. and Friday, Jan. 23, after 9 a.m. at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon.
Funeral Mass: Friday, Jan. 23, at 11 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Lanesville with burial in the church cemetery.
The family suggests memorial gifts to Hosparus of Southern Indiana or St. Elizabeth’s Catholic Charities, both in New Albany.
