Robert Lee (Bob) Fulkerson, 79, Corydon, died Tuesday, Jan. 13, 2015, at Floyd Memorial Hospital and Health Services in New Albany.
Born Feb. 28, 1935, in Salem, Ill., he was the son of the late John Thomas Fulkerson and Gladys Evelyn Fulkerson Praller.
He was a retired tech sergeant in the Air Force, having served for 20 years at various locations, including France, Korea and Guam, was a former groundskeeper for the Harrison County Parks Dept., was a former custodian at Corydon Central High School and was a former employee at the First State Capital building in Corydon.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Donald (Bud) Fulkerson, and three sisters, Nedra Potts, June Reifschneider and Delma Carman.
Survivors include his wife of 57 years, the former Lucy Johnson; three children, Terry Fulkerson-Lawton and Tina Fulkerson, both of Corydon, and David Fulkerson of New Albany; a brother, John Fulkerson of Corydon; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Celebration of life: Friday, Jan. 23, from 3 to 8 p.m. at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon. Per his wishes, his body was donated to the Indiana University School of Medicine.
