Mitchell Alcorn Sr.
Mitchell Alcorn Sr., 70, Corydon, died Monday, Dec. 1, 2014, at his home after a two-year battle with lung cancer.
Born March 26, 1944, in Estill County, Ky., he was the son of the late Beverly and Lillian Barker Alcorn.
He was a retired truck driver with Keller Manufacturing Co. in Corydon.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by five brothers, Clark, Sherman, Matt, Henry and Earl, and two sisters, Sarah and Miranda.
Survivors include his wife, the former Karen Willis; thee sons, Robert Mitchell Alcorn of Hustonville, Ky., and Mitchell Jr. and Russell Lynn Alcorn, both of Corydon; three daughters, Beverly Regina Berkwith of Middletown, Ohio, and Bertie Mae Faulkner and Pearlene Alcorn, both of Corydon; a brother, Wilse Alcorn of Carlisle, Ohio; a sister, Gracie Sandlin of Hamilton, Ohio; 10 grandchildren; and a great-granddaughter.
Visitation: Wednesday, Dec. 3, from 2 to 8 p.m. tat Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon and Thursday, Dec. 4, after noon at Pine Hill Baptist Church in Irvine, Ky.
Funeral: Thursday, Dec. 4, at 2 p.m. at the church with burial in the Alcorn Cemetery near Irvine.
Pallbearers: Mitchell Alcorn Jr., Russell Lynn Alcorn, Ed Willis, Jarrett Alcorn, Rob Alcorn, Jay Faulkner and Wade Alcorn.
