Nicholas M. Booth

Nicholas M. Booth, 97, Leavenworth, died Saturday, Nov. 29, 2014, at Todd-Dickey Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Leavenworth.
Born June 13, 1917, in Meade County, Ky., he was the son of the late Parkman W. and Ethel Cummings Booth.
He was a farmer and a member of Posey Masonic Lodge No. 188, Order of the Eastern Star and Leavenworth Presbyterian Church.
Besides, his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Dan and Bill Booth Sr.
Survivors include his wife of 72 years, the former Margaret A. Tower; a son, Kenneth R. Booth of Leavenworth; a daughter, Betty A. Cook of Milltown; four grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation: Monday, Dec. 1, from 3 to 8 p.m. and Tuesday, Dec. 2, after 10 a.m. at Brown Funeral Home in Milltown.
Funeral: Tuesday, Dec. 2, at 1 p.m. at the funeral home with interment in Leavenworth Memorial Gardens.
Officiant: Pastor Michael Finch.
Casket bearers: Brian Booth, Corey Booth, Caleb Booth, Zach Booth, Bill Booth Jr., Doug Cook, Seth Cook, Zane Cook and Nicholas Lahue.
The family suggests memorial gifts to Leavenworth Community Presbyterian Church.
