Betty J. Hottell
Betty Jane Hurst Hottell, 92, Corydon, died Thursday, Sept. 25, 2014, at Harrison County Hospital in Corydon.
Born Dec. 14, 1921, in Cincinnati, she was the daughter of the late Emil Charles and Nina Ruth Greer Hurst.
She was a homemaker, a past and founding member of Crossroads Presbyterian Church in Stone Mountain, Ga., past president of Women of the Church, a member of the Trahlyta Chapter, Dahlonega, Ga., NSDAR, and a member of Oak Grove United Methodist Church west of Corydon.
Survivors include her husband, Carmen A. Hottell; a son, Harry E. Hottell of Corydon; a daughter, Betty Ruth Bourgeois of Dahlonega, Ga.; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Visitation: Sunday, Sept. 28, from 1 to 4 p.m. at Gehlbach & Royse Funeral Home in Corydon.
Funeral: Monday, Sept. 29, at 1 p.m. at the funeral home.
The family suggests memorial gifts to the charity of the donor’s choice.
