Beulah M. Bliss

Beulah M. Bliss, 84, Bedford, died at 3:30 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 24, 2014, at Core Nursing and Rehabilitation in Bedford.
Born March 7, 1930, in Detroit, she was the daughter of the late Leo and Blanche Applegate Sonner.
She was a graduate of the old New Amsterdam High School, was a homemaker and was a member of First United Methodist Church in Bedford, the Order of the Eastern Star, Solsberry Chapter, and the Women’s Dept. Club.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, Billy R. Bliss, on Nov. 7, 1996.
Survivors are her sons, Charles R. Bliss (Rebecca), Bedford, and Glenn W. Bliss, Bloomington; granddaughter, Elizabeth Martindale (Matthew), Bloomington; grandson, Andrew W. Bliss, U.S. Air Force, Shreveport, La.; great-grandson, Nicholas Martindale; and sister, Norma Cotner (Ted), New Albany, Ind.
Visitation: Friday, Sept. 26, from 4 to 8 p.m. and Saturday, Sept. 27, after 10 a.m. at Ferguson-Lee Funeral Home in Bedford.
Funeral: Saturday, Sept. 27, at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with burial in Green Hill Cemetery.
Officiant: Pastor Michelle White.
