Bernice L. Brown

Bernice L. Brown, 87, Corydon, died Thursday, Sept. 25, 2014, at Harrison County Hospital in Corydon.
Born Sept. 8, 1927, in Harrison County, she was the daughter of the late Maynard and Fern L. Windell Coffman.
She was a retired master beautician and cosmetologist, a past madam president of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Old Capitol Aerie No. 2794 in Corydon, a life member of the Disabled American Veterans and a member of the Old Capitol Saddle Club and the Harrison County Sheriff Horse Patrol.
Survivors include her husband, Darrell E. Brown; nine children, Darrell Jr. and Mark Brown, Joy Kirchgessner, Anita Trowbridge, Dale and Michael Watson, Dr. Carol Sue Therrien, Linda Lanning and Freida Lee Meincken; 15 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation: Sunday, Sept. 28, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon.
Funeral: Sunday, Sept. 28, at 2 p.m. at the funeral home with burial in Cedar Hill Cemetery in Corydon.
Officiant: The Rev. Jim Higdon.
Pallbearers: Darrell Brown Jr., Dale Watson, Dr. Carol Sue Therrien, Joy Kirchgessner, Anita Trowbridge, Marvin Trowbridge, Steven Watson and Alan Feller.
The family suggests memorial gifts to the donor’s favorite charity.
