Steven A. Steward

Steven Alexander Steward, 69, Corydon, died Tuesday, Sept. 2, 2014, at Floyd Memorial Hospital and Health Services in New Albany.
Born Nov. 6, 1944, in Scott County, he was the son of the late Kenneth and Lillian Peevlor Steward.
He was a retired truck driver for Tyson Foods, an Army veteran and a member of ABATE of Indiana and St. Paul AME Church.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Carol Chanley.
Survivors include his wife, Betty Steward; a son, Larry D. Chanley of Corydon; three daughters, Judy Hemenway of Corydon, Angela (Toni) Steward of Nashville, Tenn., and Traci Keach of Louisville; three brothers, Kenneth Steward of Madison, Robert Steward of Depauw and Michael Steward of Deputy; two sisters, Bonnie Profitt of Seymour and Betty Abbott of Hickory, N.C.; eight grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Visitation: Saturday Sept. 6, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at St. Paul AME Church in Corydon.
Funeral: Saturday, Sept. 6, at 2 p.m. at the church.
Arrangements: Swarens Funeral Home in Ramsey.
