Hazel G. Jones
Hazel G. Jones, 91, Corydon, died Wednesday, Aug. 27, 2014, at her home.
Born July 16, 1923, in Indian Creek, Ky., she was the daughter of the late William Clyde Sr. and Cora Elizabeth Engle Friar.
She attended Corydon Baptist Church.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Hubert Jones; a daughter, Judith Ann Gross; a brother, Bruce Friar; and three sisters, Iris Butler, Geneva Friar and Edna Shinevare.
Survivors include four sons, Jim Jones of Concho, Ariz., Jack Jones of Charlotte, N.C., Ron (Joe) Jones of Windermere, Fla., and Steven Jones of Isle of Palms, S.C.; four daughters, Janice Young and Sharon Buck, both of Corydon, Cathy Stokes of Newburg, Ore., and Cheryle Parker of North Little Rock, Ark.; 17 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
Visitation: Monday, Sept. 1, from noon to 8 p.m. and Tuesday, Sept. 2, after 11 a.m. at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon.
Funeral: Tuesday, Sept. 2, at 1 p.m. at the funeral home with entombment in Cave Hill Cemetery in Louisville.
Officiant: Pastor Tommy Hullette.
Pallbearers: Justin and Joshua Devine, Joey Gross, Bobby Parsley, Bradley Parsley and Kyle Reeser.
