Harlan F. Flannery

Harlan F. Flannery, 75, Palmyra, died Saturday, Aug. 16, 2014, at 2:35 a.m. at Floyd Memorial Hospital and Health Services in New Albany.
Born Dec. 4, 1938, in Buena Vista in Franklin County, he was the son of the late Elmer H. Flannery and Margareth Violet Whitney Flannery.
He was a self-employed drywaller, truck driver and auctioneer and a member of Millersburg General Baptist Church, ROPO in Nashville, Tenn., and Odd Fellow Lodge of Bedford.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, the former Mary Opal Babcock; three brothers, Paul, Max and Arnold Flannery; and a sister, Doris Hammond.
Survivors include his wife of six years, the former Regena Meriwether; a daughter, Kathy Crowder of Paoli; a son, Harlan E. (Dine) Flannery of Paoli; two brothers, Ronnie Flannery of Orleans and Ray Flannery of Paoli; three sisters, Sylvia A. Flannery of Orleans, Erma Browning of Pekin and Cathy Bush of Bedford; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Visitation: Tuesday, Aug. 19, from 4 to 8 p.m. at McAdams Mortuary in Paoli.
Funeral: Wednesday, Aug. 20, at 11 a.m. at the mortuary with burial in Stampers Creek.
Officiant: Brother Otis Crowder.
