Judith A. (Jute) Keithley, 67, Ephrata, Pa., formerly of Corydon and Indianapolis, died Thursday, July 3, 2014, in Mount Joy, Pa., after a brief illness.
Born June 28, 1947, in New Albany, she was a 1965 graduate of New Albany High School, worked as a manager and leasing agent for several companies in Indianapolis, worked as a managing director for Capital Court Apartments in Corydon before retiring in December 2013 after more than 30 years of management leasing, was a member of Southwood Baptist Church in Indianapolis and a former member of Centenary United Methodist Church in New Albany.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, H.C. Keithley and Oma Thomas Keithley, formerly of New Albany, and Mr. and Mrs. James Alfred Knight, formerly of Elizabeth.
Survivors include her father and stepmother, H.C. Sr., and Marjorie Keithley of Lexington; her mother and stepfather, Mary Knight Michael and Ernest Michael of Corydon; a brother, H.C. Keithley Jr. of Cincinnati; two sisters, Marcie J. Keithley of New Albany and Lorraine Keithley Henry of Deputy; a daughter, Mary Beth Shafer Hildebrand of Ephrata; five grandsons; and a great-granddaughter.
Memorial service: Saturday, July 26, at 11:30 a.m. at Kraft Funeral Service with burial in Kraft Graceland Memorial Park, both in New Albany.
