Emily E. Stonecipher Thompson, 90, died Friday, July 11, 2014, at her home.
Born June 27, 1924, in Harrison County, she was the daughter of the late Edgar R. and Anna E. Taylor Stonecipher.
She was a former sander for the former Keller Manufacturing Co. and a member of Milltown Baptist Church.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph E. Thompson Sr.; a brother, Jesse (Evan) Stonecipher; and a granddaughter, Laura Allen Finch.
Survivors include three sons, Joe Thompson Jr. of Phoenix, Frank Thompson of Milltown and Scott Thompson of Depauw; seven daughters, Brenda Allen of Bloomington, Peggy Weber and Linda Calabris, both of Madison, Jeanne Timberlake of Corydon, Donna Carter of Brandenburg, Penny Brown of Depauw and Debbie Rowe of Louisville; a sister, Anna Mae Ransdell of Milltown; 17 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation: Sunday, July 13, from 4 to 8 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home in Milltown and Monday, July 14, after 9 a.m. at Milltown Baptist Church.
Funeral: Monday, July 14, at 1 p.m. at the church with interment in Milltown Baptist Church Cemetery.
Officiant: Brother Lloyd B. Roberts.
Pallbearers: Chris Brown, Michael Finch, Josh Thompson, Stephen Thompson, Dave Weber and Jimmy Wilson.
The family suggests memorial gifts to Milltown Baptist Church.
