Alice M. Hornickel

Alice Mae Hornickel, 85, New Whiteland, died Thursday, June 12, 2014, at Homeview Center in Franklin after suffering with Alzheimer’s for 10 years.
Born Aug. 2, 1928, in Laconia, she was the daughter of the late Ellis and Catherine Wayne Winders.
She worked as a bookkeeper before retiring in 1993.
Survivors include her husband of 66 years, Ronald Evans Hornickel; a brother, Larry Winders of Clermont, Fla.; three children, Ronda Carter of Laconia, Ind., Russ Hornickel of Indianapolis and Robin Hornickel of New Whiteland; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Visitation: Monday, June 16, from 4 to 8 p.m. at Wilson St. Pierre Funeral Service and Crematory, Greenwood Chapel, and Wednesday, June 18, from 4 to 8 p.m. and Thursday, June 19, after 10 a.m. at Gehlbach & Royse Funeral Home in Corydon.
Funeral: Thursday, June 19, at 11 a.m. at Gehlbach & Royse Funeral Home.
