Corydon golfers take county meet

The Corydon Central golf team has accomplished many things so far this season, collecting hardware and school records along the way.
However, the Panthers had not shot an under par score as a team. That changed Thursday when the all-black clad squad fired a two-under par 142 in the Harrison County match at Old Capital Golf Club at Corydon.
Timothy Wiseman led the charge with a 34, followed by Ryan Crawford’s 35, Mitchell Frederick’s 36 and Tommy Wiseman, playing in his final competitive high school match at home, finished with a 37.
Other scores for the Panthers were Stephen Coleman, 39, and Quinton Coffman, 43.
North Harrison was distant second-place finisher with a score of 167 led by Shawn Bishop, who turned in his best round of the season with a 37. Other Cougar’s scores were Joseph Hinton, 41; Chase Spencer, 42; Austin Davis, 47; Jack Phelps, 50; and Jackson Shaffer, 51.
Lanesville only had three competitors: Jordan Sheppard, 44; Joe Ferree, 58; and J. Wernert, 60.
South Central did not compete.
