Mary F. Hughes
Mary F. (Toots) Hughes, 83, Corydon, died Saturday, May 24, 2014, at her home.
Born June 18, 1930, in Mauckport, she was the daughter of the late McKinley and Lou Beard Carver.
She was the owner of Mary’s Cut-N-Curl Beauty Shop in New Albany and Corydon and a member of the VFW Post 2950 Ladies Auxiliary in Corydon and Silver Street United Methodist Church in New Albany.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Earl J. Hughes; three brothers, James E. (Jeep), Robert E. and Alfred (Peck) Carver; and a sister, Mildred (Pauline) Carver Reed.
Survivors include two daughters, Patricia Ann Nolot of Ashland, Ky., and Betty Jo Domalewski of New Albany; and four grandchildren.
Visitation: Monday, May 26, from 4 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, May 27, from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Wednesday, May 28, after 9 a.m. at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon.
Funeral: Wednesday, May 28, at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with burial in Mount Zion Cemetery near Mauckport.
Officiant: Pastor Jerry Hughes.
Pallbearers: Michael and Patrick Nolot, Jacob Domalewski, Terry Carver, Luanne Hardin, Jay Linneweber and Darrell Blackman.
