Pairings for softball tournament released

On Thursday, 375 teams were drawn and placed into brackets for the 30th annual IHSAA Softball State Tournament.
Sectional action runs May 26 through 31 with the 64 survivors moving into a one-game regional round on Tuesday, June 3. From there, 32 teams will square off in four-team semi-states on Saturday, June 7, with the four state championship games scheduled for Saturday, June 14, at Ben Davis High School in Indianapolis.
Lanesville will serve as host of the Class A Sectional, while Silver Creek is scheduled to host Class 3A. Paoli will host 2A.
Lanesville, ranked No. 9 in its class, has a tough opening draw, squaring off against No. 5 Borden.
Admission is $6 per session or $9 for an all-session pass (per sectional).
