Roger A. Berry

Roger Allen Berry, 67, Corydon, died Thursday, April 17, 2014, at the Robley Rex V.A. Medical Center in Louisville.
Born April 12, 1947, in Benton County, he was the son of the late Roy Allen and Burnita Mae Kesler Berry.
He was the owner and operator of Berry’s Contracting Service, a retired steeplejack, a member of the Indiana Miami Indian Nation and Old Capitol United Methodist Church in Corydon, a life member of VFW Post 2950 in Corydon, was a 32nd degree member of the Masonic Lodge No. 561 in Otterbein, the Scottish Rite and the Shriners, a former member of the Corydon Moose Lodge and an Army veteran of the Vietnam War.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his three brothers, Roy Allen, LouDon and David Berry, and a sister, Karen Lee Robson.
Survivors include his wife, the former Rita L. Bates; two sons, Gregory Joe Windell of Great Mills, Md., and Corey Andrew Berry of Corydon; two daughters, Rachel Lee West of Laurel, Md., and Rebecca Elizabeth Berry of Corydon; two brothers, Ervin Berry of Anderson and Rick Berry of Corydon; three sisters, Anettia Brown of Fowler, Lois Shaff of Lafayette and Kathy Gross of Monticello; and 10 grandchildren.
Visitation: Sunday, April 20, from noon to 8 p.m. and Monday, April 21, after 9 a.m. at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon.
Funeral: Monday, April 21, at 11 a.m. at the funeral home.
Officiant: Adam Berry.
