Carl N. Curts, 56, Pensacola, Fla., formerly of Corydon, died Friday, April 4, 2014, in Pensacola.
Born Aug. 16, 1957, in Corydon, he was the son of the late Rush and Lenora Kintner Curts.
He was a retired welder and pipefitter, a member of the National Pipefitters and Plumbers Union Local No. 189 in Columbus, Ohio, and a disabled Navy veteran.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Laura Curts, and two sisters, Alice Embee and Sherry Webb.
Survivors include his wife, the former Sandra K. Cook; a son, Gregory Curts of Cambridge, Ohio; a daughter, Bethany Huston of Wilmington, Ohio; a stepson, Gregory Schmidt of Pensacola; a stepdaughter, Nikki Palmer of Pensacola; a brother, Lafe Curts of Corydon; five sisters, Clara Amy, Betty Kingsley, Flossie Mathes, Joyce Wiseman and Benita McDonald, all of Corydon, and Lisa Austin of Leavenworth; and five grandchildren.
Visitation: Thursday, April 10, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon.
Funeral: Thursday, April 10, at 2 p.m. at the funeral home with burial in Potato Run Cemetery near Corydon.
Pallbearers: Gregory and Hunter Curts, Tyler and Jagger Huston, Bryan Flannery, Victor and Steve Kingsley and Jordan McDonald.
Honorary pallbearers: Gregory Schmidt, David Cook and Willis Duhon.
The family suggests memorial gifts to the American Cancer Society.
