Peggy R. Mattingly

Peggy Ruth Mattingly, 75, New Middletown, died Friday, March 21, 2014, at Kindred Transitional Care in Corydon.
Born July 17, 1938, in New Middletown, she was the daughter of the late Henry Charles and Leona Gertrude Wolfe Vogt.
She was a retired production worker at Speedflex in Ramsey, had been a teacher’s aid for Head Start in Corydon for many years and was a member of Bethany United Methodist Church in New Middletown.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel Harvey Mattingly; two brothers, Charles William Vogt and Jacob Henry Vogt; and four sisters, Mary Catherine Jordine, Thelma Juanita Bachman, Doris Jean Vogt and Helen Beatrice Vogt.
Survivors include two sons, Jacob and Daniel Mattingly, both of New Middletown; seven daughters, Christy Bradley of Indianapolis, Mary Gibson of New Salisbury, Sherri Innie of Palmyra, Rose Pascoe of Brandenburg, Nancy Lyons of Sulphur, Beverly Mattingly of Sandborn and Juanita Ivers of Leavenworth; one sister, Phyllis Himmelhaver of Lanesville; 22 grandchildren; and 30 great-grandchildren.
Visitation: Tuesday, March 25, from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Wednesday, March 26, after 9 a.m. at Gehlbach & Royse Funeral Home in Corydon.
Funeral: Wednesday, March 26, at 1:30 p.m. at the funeral home with burial in Bethany United Methodist Cemetery in New Middletown.
Officiants: Pastors Lida Bain and Toney McCutcheon.
Pallbearers: Daniel and Jacob Mattingly, Chad Gunther, Jim Wolfe, Steve Bachman and Hollis Carroll.
Honorary pallbearers: Austin Mattingly, Jason (Beanie) Pierce, D.J. Ivers, Derick and Jonathan Innie.
