Dessie J. Alcorn

Dessie J. Alcorn, 94, Corydon, died Sunday, March 16, 2014, at Kindred Transitional Care and Rehabilitation Center in Corydon.
Born July 18, 1919, in Irvine, Ky., she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Sarah Chaney Neal.
She was a homemaker and a member of Potato Run United Methodist Church near Corydon.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Roger Lee Alcorn; two brothers, Troy and Lloyd Neal, and two sisters, Lillie Sparks and Eva McKinney.
Survivors include her husband, Clark Alcorn; two sons, Earl Zyndell and Timothy W. Alcorn, both of Corydon; two daughters, Freida E. Naegele and Betty L. Fessel, both of Corydon; a brother, Eugene Neal of West Carrollton, Ohio; 11 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation: Wednesday, March 19, from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Thursday, March 20, after 9 a.m. at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon.
Funeral: Thursday, March 20, at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with burial in Jordan Cemetery near Corydon.
Officiant: The Rev. Larry Hensley.
Pallbearers: Roger, Randall and Ray Fessel, Todd and Jason Naegele, Dominick Brienzi, Ethan Alcorn and Greg Neal.
The family suggests memorial gifts to the American Cancer Society.
