Alma L. King
Alma L. King, 71, Corydon, died Wednesday, March 5, 2014, at Floyd Memorial Hospital and Health Services in New Albany.
Born Feb. 16, 1943, in New Albany, she was the daughter of the late Ernie and Wanda Stocksdale Williams.
She was a former employee of Ponderosa Steakhouse, Mattingly’s Ice House and Town and Country Clothing, all in Corydon, and a member of Grace Tabernacle Assembly of God Church near Laconia, Ind.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Joyce Shouse and Sharen Fraze.
Survivors include her husband, Donald R. King; three sons, Michael King of Corydon, Scott King of Louisville and John King of New Salisbury; a sister, Janie Shaffer of Charlestown; two brothers, Ernie Williams of New Albany and Charlie Williams of Emma, Mo.; seven grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
Visitation: Friday, March 7, from 2 to 8 p.m. and Saturday, March 8, after 10 a.m. at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon.
Funeral: Saturday, March 8, at 1 p.m. at the funeral home.
Officiant: The Rev. Greg Carter.
