Earl W. Bandy

Earl Wayne Bandy, 80, New Albany, died Sunday, Feb. 16, 2014, at his home.
A native of Mauckport, he was the son of the late Ira and Perly Bandy.
He was a retired riverboat captain and attended Culbertson Baptist Church.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Earl Edward Bandy; two brothers, Virgil and Charles Bandy; and two sisters, Marjorie Louise Ward and Helen Fay Bandy.
Survivors include his wife, the former Sadie Frakes; a son, Ellery Wayne Bandy of Fort Meyers, Fla.; a daughter, Theresa Jo Bandy of Leavenworth; a brother, Olas Ray Bandy of Maryland; a sister, Joyce May LaDuke of Elizabeth; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Visitation: Wednesday, Feb. 19, from 1 to 8 p.m. and Thursday, Feb. 20, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Market Street Chapel of Seabrook Dieckmann & Naville Funeral Homes in New Albany.
Funeral: Thursday, Feb. 20, at 1 p.m. at the funeral home with interment in Mount Zion Cemetery at Mauckport.
The family suggests memorial gifts to Hosparus of Southern Indiana.
