Naomi R. Brown

Naomi Ruth Brown, 70, Carefree, died Wednesday, Feb. 5, 2014, at Floyd Memorial Hospital and Health Services in New Albany.
Born Sept. 16, 1943, near Sulphur, she was the daughter of the late Clarence and Gertrude Carroll Tucker.
She was formerly employed as a manager at Hickory Ridge Inn and the 76 Truck Stop at Carefree, was a former employee of the Walmart Supercenter in Corydon and Beach Mold & Tool in New Albany and attended Milltown Pilgrim Holiness Church.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Emily McNair; a great-grandson, Trenton McIntosh; and a brother, Eldon Tucker.
Survivors include her husband, James L. Brown Sr.; a son, James (Bubba) Brown Jr. of Milltown; three daughters, Sheila J. Keith of Laconia, Teresa A. Campbell of Louisville and Chantal R. Welch of Corydon; three brothers, Edward, Bud and Gene Tucker, all of Sulphur; a sister, Joyce Keeling of Palmyra; nine grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
Celebration of life: Saturday, Feb. 8, at 2 p.m. in the El Bethel Baptist Church fellowship hall near Carefree.
