John T. McClanahan Sr.

John T. McClanahan Sr., 71, Depauw, died Saturday, Feb. 8, 2014.
Born Aug. 17, 1942, at Marysville, he was the son of the late Thomas H. and Mollie C. Laughlin McClanahan.
He was an Air Force veteran of the Vietnam era, retired from Atlas Machine in Louisville and was a member of Greenville Masonic Lodge No. 416, Old Capitol Chapter No. 467 Order of the Eastern Star and Milltown American Legion Post No. 332.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a grandson, Sean McClanahan.
Survivors include his wife, the former Carolyn S. Paulin; three sons, John T. McClanahan Jr. of Fredericksburg, P. Neal McClanahan of Charlestown and Craig A. McClanahan of Augusta, Ga.; two brothers, Val Joe McClanahan of Brooksville, Fla., and Warren W. McClanahan of Greenville; a sister, Roberta Jean Tungate of Jeffersonville; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Visitation: Tuesday, Feb. 11, from 2 to 8 p.m., with an Eastern Star memorial service at 7, followed by Masonic rites, and Wednesday, Feb. 12, after 8 a.m. at Swarens Funeral Home in Ramsey.
Funeral: Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with burial in Pleasant Ridge Cemetery near Corydon.
