Donald G. Sample, 83, Corydon, died Sunday, Feb. 2, 2014, at Harrison County Hospital in Corydon.
Born July 15, 1930, in Laconia, he was the son of the late Mervin and Nannie Bell Gurley Sample.
He was retired from Southern Railroad, where he was a bridge and building foreman, a member of Faith Assembly Church in Jeffersonville and an Army veteran of the Korean era.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, the former Wilma Schweitzer, and a brother, James Sample.
Survivors include his wife, the former Lillie Mann, and a daughter, Teresa Brown of Corydon.
Visitation: Wednesday, Feb. 5, from 4 to 8 p.m. and Thursday, Feb. 6, after 10 a.m. at Gehlbach & Royse Funeral Home in Corydon.
Funeral: Thursday, Feb. 6, at 1 p.m. at the funeral home with burial in Cedar Hill Cemetery in Corydon.
Officiant: Pastor Stephen McAfee.
The family suggests memorial gifts to Perseverance Chapel Church.
