Nancy F. Hastilow Cantrell, 72, died Thursday, Dec. 5, 2013, at the University of Kentucky Hospital.
Born Sept. 26, 1941, in Columbus, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Orin K. and Helen F. Schumacher Hastilow.
She was a graduate of Capital University in Bexley, Ohio, where she was a member of the Chapel Choir, was an elementary music teacher with Fayette County Schools until her retirement, served at various churches as a choir director and church organist and was a member of Faith Lutheran Church, the Lions Club and Alpha Delta Kappa honorary teacher sorority, Alpha Epsilon Chapter.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Minister Gerald Cantrell.
Survivors include a son, James C. Cantrell of Lexington, Ky.; a daughter, Jennifer A. Hopkins of Columbus, Ohio; a sister, Jane K. Stehle; and three grandchildren.
Visitation: Monday, Dec. 9, from 4 to 8 p.m. at Kerr Brothers Funeral Home in Lexington, Ky., and Tuesday, Dec. 10, after 10 a.m. at Faith Lutheran Church in Lexington, Ky.
Funeral: Tuesday, Dec. 10, at 11 a.m. at the church with burial in Lexington (Ky.) Cemetery.
Officiant: Pastor Andy Rutrough.
