Melvin C. Delaney

Melvin C. Delaney, 61, Corydon, died Friday, Nov. 29, 2013, at his home.
Born Dec. 2, 1951, at New Albany, he was the son of Elisha Delaney of Milltown and the late Peggy Engleman Delaney.
He was an auditor for Humana Inc. in Louisville, a United Methodist lay speaker serving Laconia and Depauw United Methodist churches and a member of Pfrimmer’s Chapel United Methodist Church near Corydon.
Besides his father, survivors include his wife, the former Kathy J. Rothrock; two daughters, Melanie Abner of Corydon and Kelly Delaney-Bottorff of Georgetown; two sisters, Susan Nieves of Jeffersonville and Kaye Miller of Louisville; and five grandchildren.
Visitation: Monday, Dec. 2, from 2 to 8 p.m. at Swarens Funeral Home in Ramsey.
Funeral: Tuesday, Dec. 3, at 11 a.m. at Pfrimmer’s Chapel United Methodist Church near Corydon with burial in the church cemetery.
Officiant: Pastor Tim Johnson.
