Tickets on sale for Corydon’s January visit to Freedom Hall

Freedom Hall, one of the most historic college sports venues in the nation ‘ the previous home of the Louisville Cardinals, Kentucky Colonels and numerous NCAA tournament games, including six Final Fours ‘ will welcome the Corydon Central boys’ basketball team in January.
Part of the inaugural Indiana-Kentucky Hall of Fame Challenge Cup on Jan. 11, Corydon Central will square off against one of the top teams in Kentucky, Covington Catholic. Located near Cincinnati, Covington Catholic was 27-7 last season and returns five of its top eight players.
Multiple high-level college prospects will be in action throughout the day.
Games will run consecutively beginning at 11 a.m. with 25 minutes between each game. The schedule will be Game 1′ Elizabethtown (Ky.) vs. Indianapolis Roncali (girls); Game 2 ‘ Elizabethtown (Ky.) vs. Barr-Reeve; Game 3 ‘ Covington Catholic (Ky.) vs. Corydon Central (at approximately 3 p.m.); Game 4 ‘ Hopkinsville (Ky.) vs. Indianapolis Park Tudor; Game 5 ‘ Louisville Ballard (Ky.) vs. Guerin Catholic.
‘What a great opportunity to play in this environment and setting,’ Corydon Central coach Jamie Kolkmeier said in September at a press conference to kick off the Cup.
Admission for the event will be $10 with general admission seating. Veterans and immediate family members will receive complimentary admission. Freedom Hall will be split with Indiana fans on one side and Kentucky on the other.
Advance tickets will be available at the Corydon Central athletic office and at all girls’ and boys’ home basketball contests. Purchasing tickets through the school will be available through the end of 2013 (unsold tickets must be returned by Jan. 1).
