Yvonne Fessel, 71, Corydon, died Thursday, Sept. 26, 2013, at Floyd Memorial Hospital and Health Services in New Albany.
Born Sept. 25, 1942, in Elizabeth, she was the daughter of the late Gordon and Ruby Woertz Stewart.
She was a retired instructional assistant at South Harrison Community School Corp., a former employee of First National Bank in Louisville and a member of Old Capitol United Methodist Church in Corydon and Phi Beta Psi Sorority.
Survivors include her husband, Jerry L. Fessel; two sons, Michael Fessel and Chris Fessel, both of Corydon; a daughter, Michele Saulman of Corydon; a brother, Keith Stewart of New Albany; and eight grandchildren.
Visitation: Saturday, Sept. 28, from 4 to 8 p.m. and Sunday, Sept. 29, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon and Monday, Sept. 30, after 9 a.m. at Old Capitol United Methodist Church in Corydon.
Funeral: Monday, Sept. 30, at 10 a.m. at the church in Corydon with burial in Cedar Hill Cemetery in Corydon.
Officiant: The Rev. Andy Hansen.
Pallbearers: Calvin and Casey Saulman, Tyler Fessel, Brian Stewart, Dennis Holton and Jarrod Bulleit.
Honorary pallbearers: Cassidy Saulman and Brittany, Allie, Maddie and Katie Fessel.
The family suggests memorial gifts to the Yvonne Fessel Panther Athletic Scholarship Fund or the American Cancer Society.
