Artisan Center celebrates 2nd year

The Artisan Center will present Celebrate! 2nd Anniversary Retrospective now through Sunday, Sept. 15.
Featured artists are Barney Bright, Sidney Crosier, Julius Friedman, Warren Hardin, Rand Heazlitt, Bob Hubbuch, the Denny Huber collection, Fred Kelley, David Kocka, Rita Koerber, Bryan Moss, Larry Ordner, Leah Porter, Larry Rhoads, Rob Roby, Rosamond Sample, Jean Schettler, Derrick Schmaltz, Penny Sisto, John Walters, Randy West, Violet Bruner Windell and Zimmerman glass from Callie Zimmerman’s collection. Pieces displayed represent each exhibit the Artisan Center has had since opening in September 2011.
Guests are invited to stop in and see fabric art, bronze sculpture, photography, wood carvings, painting, pottery, hand made canes and more.
Upcoming events at the Artisan Center, located at 117 E. Chestnut St. in Corydon, will include:
‘James Best, who will be at the center Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 21 and 22, from 2 to 5 p.m. with an exhibit of his paintings. Best also will perform at the Corydon Jamboree on Friday, Sept. 20, at 7:30 p.m. Tickets for the Jamboree performance are $20 and can be purchased by calling 738-1130.
