Geneva S. Weber, 79, Elizabeth, died Friday, Aug. 30, 2013, at Floyd Memorial Hospital and Health Services in New Albany.
Born May 29, 1934, in Elizabeth, she was the daughter of the late Roy E. and Beatrice McKinney Stewart.
She was a homemaker and a member of Depauw United Methodist Church in Elizabeth and the Depauw United Methodist Women.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, William Edward Weber Jr.; a sister, Ruth Dorton; and a brother, Ronald Stewart.
Survivors include her husband of 57 years, William E. Weber Sr.; three daughters, Pam Gustafson of Cincinnati, Pat (Tippy) Brane of La Fontaine and Priscilla Whitman of Laconia; two brothers, Gene Stewart of Elizabeth and David Stewart of Louisville; three sisters, Lucille Layer of Elizabeth, Dorothy Burnett of Powder Spring, Ga., and Carol Hook of New Albany.; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Visitation: Sunday, Sept. 1, from noon to 8 p.m. and Monday, Sept. 2, after 8:30 a.m. at Gehlbach & Royse Funeral Home in Corydon.
Funeral: Monday, Sept. 2, 2013, at 11 a.m. at Depauw United Methodist Church with burial in Rose Hill Cemetery, both in Elizabeth.
Officiant: Pastor Catherine Turcotte officiated.
Pallbearers: Billy and Will Weber, Will and Derek Gustafson, Danny and Sam Brane, Troy Whitman and Aidan Carrier
The family suggests memorial gifts to the Alzheimer’s Association.
