Angie (Rosie) Jacobs, 84, Corydon, died Monday, Aug. 26, 2013, at Kindred Transitional Care and Rehabilitation Center in Corydon.
Born Dec. 26, 1928, in Edmondson County, Ky., she was the daughter of the late E. Elwood and Pollie F. Hardin Lawrence.
She formerly owned her own home health care agency, was a member of Trinity Assembly of God Church near Corydon, the VFW Post 2950 Ladies Auxiliary in Corydon and the Red Hat Society and was the past president for 12 years of the Republican Women’s Club.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Noel E. Jacobs; five brothers, Ray, Ronnie, Ruble, Donnie and Johnny Lawrence; a sister, Darlene Thienel; and a great-great-granddaughter, Ava Grace Varnadore.
Survivors include two sons, Eldon Noel Jacobs of Tallahassee, Fla., and Douglas E. Jacobs of Lanesville; two daughters, Diana Kay Lasley of Corydon and Deloris Faye Wilson of Louisville; three brothers, Roy Lawrence of Mount Washington, Ky., and James and Billy Lawrence, both of Shively, Ky.; two sisters, Nadine Clark of Radcliff, Ky., and Ruby Lasley of McDaniels, Ky.; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and a great-great-granddaughter.
Visitation: Wednesday, Aug. 28, from 2 to 8 p.m. and Thursday, Aug. 29, after 9 a.m. at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon.
Funeral: Thursday, Aug. 29, at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with burial in Mount Zion Cemetery near Mauckport.
Officiant: The Rev. Paul Greer.
Pallbearers: Clint, Nic and Seth Jacobs, Gary and Larry Lawrence, Charles Kendrick and Nathan Varnadore.
