11th annual golf scramble for Blue River Services Aug. 16

Blue River Services Inc. will have its 11th annual golf scramble Friday, Aug. 16, at Old Capital Golf Club in Corydon. Lucas Oil Products Inc. has been named the title sponsor again for the 18-hole scramble that has become one of the most successful fundraising events for Blue River Services.
Check-in for the day’s events will begin at noon. There will be a free lunch for all participants from noon to 12:55, followed by the scramble at 1. The awards presentation will conclude the event.
All players will have a chance to win numerous prizes along with Bass Pro Shop gift certificates for the first-, second- and third-place teams.
Contests include hole-in-one, longest drive for men, longest drive for women and closest-to-the-pin. Eddie Gilstrap Motors in Salem is again sponsoring the hole-in-one contest, at hole No. 14, with the prize being a two-year lease on a new Ford.
There will also be a 50-50 raffle with tickets being sold throughout the day of the event. The winner of the raffle will receive 1/2 of all raffle proceeds generated from the ticket sales. You do not have to be present to win the 50-50 raffle. Anyone interested in purchasing a raffle ticket can call 738-4196.
Sponsorships are available in support of the event. All sponsorship levels include recognition in all thank-you ads, on the BRS website and BRS publications. Levels are: corporate sponsorship of $1,000, includes greens/cart fees, golf balls/tees, lunch and goody bags for two teams, company banner displayed at the event, signage of the sponsor’s business logo on the Spirit of Blue River Wall of Fame at the event, sponsor’s signage displayed at two holes and sponsor’s signage on the teams golf carts; classic sponsorship, $500, includes greens/cart fees, golf balls/tees, lunch and goody bags for one team, signage of the sponsor’s business logo on the Spirit of Blue River Wall of Fame at the event, signage of the sponsor’s signage displayed at one hole and sponsor’s signage on the team’s golf carts; team sponsorship, $300, includes greens/cart fees, golf balls/tees, lunch, and goody bags for one team; hole sponsorship, $100, includes sponsor’s signage at one hole on the golf course; and cart sponsorship, $50, includes sponsor’s signage on the back of a golf cart that will travel throughout the golf course to deliver ice-cold water and soft drinks during the scramble.
