Mary K. Beaven

Mary Katherine Beaven, 73, Corydon, died Tuesday, July 23, 2013, at Floyd Memorial Hospital and Health Services in New Albany.
Born July 1, 1940, in Palmyra, she was the daughter of the late Ernest and Dorothy Wooten Haynes.
She was a member of the New Albany BPW.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, George Kenneth (Bucky) Beaven III; a brother, Woodrow Haynes; and a sister, Betty Hardin.
Survivors include her husband, George Kenneth Beaven Jr.; a son, Michael Thomas Beaven Sr. of Corydon; a daughter, Kathy Beaven Polley of Corydon; a brother, William Haynes of Sellersburg; two sisters, Phyllis Haynes Foster of Winslow and Peggy Haynes Sutton, of New Albany; seven grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Visitation: Monday, July 29, from 5 to 8 p.m. at Gehlbach & Royse Funeral Home in Corydon.
Funeral: Tuesday, July 30, at 1 p.m. at the funeral home with burial in Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park in New Albany.
The family suggests memorial gifts to the American Kidney Fund.
