Lee R. Land
Lee Roy Land, 81, Laconia, died Tuesday, July 16, 2013, at his home.
Born July 3, 1932, in Crawford County, he was the son of the late Ray and Crystal Tucker Land.
He was a retired staff sergeant with the Army, having served in the Korean and Vietnam wars, a former chef/professor at Sullivan University Culinary Arts School in Louisville, a former health inspector and health coordinator in Crawford County and a member of Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Corydon.
Survivors include his wife, the former Grace Marie Wilson; a son, Lee Roy Land Jr.; two daughters, Joe Ann Todd and Cris Todd; four stepsons, Kenneth, Bobby and John Gott and Ronnie Phipps; two stepdaughters, Deanna Ogden and Melissa Poindexter; and a sister, Gwen.
Memorial service: Saturday, July 20, at 3 p.m. at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witness in Corydon.
