Ross set to play in North-South game

Recent Corydon Central graduate Tyler Ross will participate Friday in the annual Indiana North-South All-Star football game in Indianapolis.
The Panthers’ leading receiver from a year ago will play for the South Team, which leads the overall series versus the North, 25-21.
The game is scheduled to kick off at 7 p.m. at North Central High School in Indianapolis. Last season, the South won the matchup 16-7 with 2012 Corydon Central graduates Lucas and Jeremiah Windell participating.
For the South, Ross is slated to play wide receiver. At Corydon Central, the 6-3 Ross, played defensive back as well as wide receiver.
Other area students playing include Aaron Daniel (Charlestown, quarterback) and Dylan Patman (Brownstown Central, cornerback), both for the South Team.
The South coaching staff includes Chris Coll (Tri-West), Mike Kirschner (Ben Davis), Doug Armstrong (Mount Vernon-Fortville), Jon Heiden (Vincennes Lincoln), Ryan Knigga (Lawrenceburg), Chris Bombei (Avon), Vince Purichia (Cardinal Ritter), Jim Leisure (Mount Vernon-Fortville), Justin Kotter (Vincennes Lincoln) and Eddie Vogel (Columbus East).
Proceeds from the game benefit Camp Riley and The Indiana Football Hall of Fame.
