Mildred Royalty
Mildred Royalty, 92, Georgetown, died Friday, June 28, 2013, at Floyd Memorial Hospital and Health Services in New Albany.
Born Aug. 4, 1920, in Anderson, she was the daughter of the late Clay B. and Pearl Rouark Hayes.
She was a pianist and violinist, a member of Highland Baptist Church and a 50-year member of the Order of the Eastern Star.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Olmun J. Royalty; a son, David J. Royalty; and a grandson, Michael Royalty.
Survivors include a son, Dr. William Royalty of Georgetown; two daughters, Clara E. Sullivan of New Salisbury and Norma K. Royalty of New Albany; a sister, Dorothy Nolot of New Albany; 11 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation: Sunday, June 30, from 2 to 8 p.m. and Monday, July 1, after 9 a.m. at Gehlbach & Royse Funeral Home in Corydon.
Funeral: Monday, July 1, at 10 a.m. at the funeral home with burial in Resthaven Cemetery.
The family suggests memorial gifts to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
