British Soccer Camp returns to Y

Challenger British Soccer, the largest and most popular camp program in the USA and Canada, will return to the YMCA of Harrison County.
The program provides young players of all abilities with the rare opportunity to receive high-level soccer coaching from a team of international expert’s right in the heart of their own community. Participants will be exposed to individual foot skills, technical drills, tactical practices, small-sided games and scrimmages. Soccer skills are coached within a framework of character development based on respect, responsibility, integrity, leadership and sportsmanship.
During the week-long camp, participants will receive a free T-shirt, soccer ball, fold-out poster and a personal player evaluation.
Camp session take place June 24 through 28. Eight different clinics for ages 3 to 14 will be offered that week.
Participants should bring plenty of water each day. Those campers participating in multiple clinics or who are staying for more than three hours should also bring a packed lunch with a beverage and snacks each day. All participants should arrive with sunscreen applied as well as with additional sunscreen to apply as needed. Loose-fitting active wear, shin guards and athletic shoes or soccer cleats should be worn each day.
The sessions, times, ages and prices are:
‘First Kicks, for ages 3 to 4, 9 to 10 a.m., $78 per person;
‘Mini Soccer, for ages 4 to 6, 10 a.m. to noon, $98 per person;
‘Half Day, for ages 6 to 14, 9 a.m. to noon, $118 per person;
‘Half Day, for ages 6 to 14, 6 to 9 p.m., $118 per person;
‘U10 through U14, for ages 10 to 14, 9 a.m. to noon, $118 per person;
‘Full Day, for ages 8 to 14, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., $159 per person;
‘Goalkeeper, for ages 8 to 14, 6 to 9 p.m., $118 per person; and
‘Golden Goal, for ages 6 to 14, 6 to 8 p.m., $40 per person.
