Marvin D. Kost
Marvin D. Kost, 67, Ramsey, died Thursday, May 23, 2013, at his home.
Born July 30, 1945, near Central Barren, he was the son of the late Harry L. and Elizabeth F. Stevens Kost.
He was a graduate of Morgan Township School, was a retired maintenance man after 32 years of service from North Harrison Community School Corp. in Ramsey, was a former trustee and member of Unity Chapel United Methodist Church near Ramsey and was involved in FFA and coaching softball and baseball.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Donald Kost.
Survivors include his wife of 44 years, the former Linda Sue Lanham; a son, Jonathon D. Kost of Louisville; a daughter, Michelle L. Koester of Seymour; five brothers Robert and Dewey Kost, both of New Albany, Calvin Kost of Pantego, Texas, and Dale and Gary Kost, both of Indianapolis; five sisters, Betty Sarver of Rockport, Ruth Graeter of Pekin, Wilma Kost of Indianapolis, Mary Gordon of Pilot Mountain, N.C., and Sharon Parks of Corydon; and six grandchildren.
Visitation: Monday, May 27, from 2 to 8 p.m. at Swarens Funeral Home in Ramsey and Tuesday, May 28, after 9 a.m. at Unity Chapel United Methodist Church south of Ramsey.
Funeral: Tuesday, May 28, at 11 a.m. at the church with burial in Central Barren Cemetery.
