Alfred W. Carver

Alfred W. (Peck) Carver, 90, Corydon, died Tuesday, April 16, 2013, at the Hosparus Inpatient Care Center in Louisville.
Born July 8, 1922, in Mauckport, he was the son of the late J. McKinley and Lou Beard Carver.
He an Army and Coast Guard veteran of World War II, formerly employed at Keller Manufacturing Co. in Corydon, a farmer and a member of the Christian faith.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wives, Masie Marie Lowe Carver and Ruth E. Wellman Carver; a son, David W. Carver; two brothers, James E. (Jeep) Carver and Robert E. Carver; and a sister, Mildred (Pauline) Carver Reed.
Survivors include a son, Keith Carver of Lady Lake, Fla.; a sister, Mary F. Hughes of Corydon; four stepsons, Brad, David, Kerry and Brian Wellman; two stepdaughters, Shelly Friese and Rhonda April; two grandchildren; 11 step-grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and seven step-great-grandchildren.
Visitation: Saturday, April 20, from 3 to 8 p.m. and Sunday, April 21, after 9 a.m. at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon.
Funeral: Sunday, April 21, at 2 p.m. at the funeral home with burial in Mount Zion Cemetery near Mauckport.
Pallbearers: Jason Carver, Jacob Domalewski, Larry and Patrick Nolot and Brad and Kerry Wellman.
Honorary pallbearer: Luanne Hardin.
The family suggests memorial gifts to the American Kidney Fund.
