Ethel L. Walker


Ethel Lee Walker, 95, Corydon, died Friday, April 12, 2013, at Kindred Transitional Care and Rehabilitation Center in Corydon.
Born March 5, 1918, in Elizabeth, she was the daughter of the late Hayes and Lenora Bines Best.
She attended Highland Avenue Holiness Church in Corydon.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Peter Kinney Walker II; four brothers, Herschel, Herbert, Charles and Harold Best; and five sisters, Irene and Alice Nash, Gladys Bishop, Edna Childers and Elizabeth Marie Best.
Survivors include six sons, Peter Kinney Walker III of Leavenworth, Leonard Walker of Old Hickory, Tenn., Robert W., Rodger D. and Willard E. Walker, all of Corydon, and David L. Walker of Berkley, Mich.; two daughters, Juanita E. Cesar and Linda M. Lyons, both of Corydon; 17 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation: Sunday, April 14, from 2 to 8 p.m., Monday, April 15, from 2 to 8 p.m. and Tuesday, April 16, after 9 a.m. at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon.
Funeral: Tuesday, April 16, at 2 p.m. at the funeral home with burial in Cedar Hill Cemetery in Corydon.
Officiant: The Rev. Danny Goodman.
Pallbearers: Kinney, Leonard, Robert, David, Rodger and Willard Walker.
