Richard L. Wimp

Richard Lee Wimp, 70, Corydon, died Monday, March 18, 2013, from congestive heart failure, at Floyd Memorial Hospital and Health Services in New Albany.
Born July 9, 1942, in New Albany, he was the son of the late James C. and Mayme Eurdeene Flora Wimp.
He was the owner of Rick’s Service Center near Corydon, a member of the VFW Floyd County Post No. 3281 and a Marines veteran.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Norma Curry.
Survivors include his wife of 47 years, the former Georgette Lee Wolpert; a son, Richard D. Wimp of Corydon; a brother, James Earl Wimp of New Albany; two sisters, Joyce R. Brown of Crandall and Kim Neiter of Henryville; and a granddaughter.
Memorial service: Saturday, April 6, at 11 a.m. at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon.
The family suggests memorial gifts to Hosparus of Southern Indiana.
