Ray E. Hight

Ray Edward Hight, 83, Sebree, Ky., formerly of Wingo, Ky., died Saturday, March 9, 2013, at 10:05 p.m. at Redbanks Colonial Terrance Nursing Home in Sebree.
Born Dec. 11, 1929, in Haywood County, Tenn., he was the son of the late James Burr and Mae Brown Hight.
He was a retired outside plant manager for West Kentucky Rural Telephone Co-op and a member of First Baptist Church in Sebree.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Ray E. Hight Jr.
Survivors include his wife of 64 years, the former Janie Mildred Harper; a daughter, Jacqueline Conn of Sebree; two sons, Kenneth C. Hight of Lanesville and James B. Hight of Clermont, Fla.; two brothers, Romus Hight of Brownsville, Tenn., and Russell Hight of Jackson, Tenn.; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Visitation: Monday, March 11, from 5 to 8 p.m. and Tuesday, March 12, after 10 a.m. at Tomblinson Funeral Home’s Sebree Chapel.
Funeral: Tuesday, March 12, at 2 p.m. at the funeral home with burial in Springdale Cemetery in Sebree.
Officiant: Pastor James Shuck.
Pallbearers: Ed Moreland, Allen Newton, Phil Gillespie, Adam Wiley, Dave Wiley, Tommy Tow, Fran Hedges and Aimee Carroll.
Honorary pallbearers: Randall Hedges, Doug Lynn, Eldon Bradley, Sonny Sears and Eddie Carrico.
The family suggests memorial gifts to St. Anthony’s Hospice.
