Norman Cox, 84, Leavenworth, died Sunday, March 10, 2013, at his home.
Born Oct. 13, 1928, in Knott County, Ky., he was the son of the late Bee and Rhoda Handshoe Cox.
He was retired from the old Louisville Cement Co. and a member of Milltown Christian Church.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Taurcea Jackson; two brothers, Arnold and Orville Cox; and four sisters, Dorothy Thevenot, Lola Mae Jenkins, Janice DuBois and Goldie Summers.
Survivors include his wife, the former Lena Mae Parks; a son, Jeffrey W. Cox of Jeffersonville; daughter, Vanessa Jackson of Jackson, Tenn.; a sister, Bertha DeBell of Coxs Creek, Ky.; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Visitation: Wednesday, March 13, from 2 to 8 p.m. at Swarens Funeral Home in Ramsey and Thursday, March 14, after 11 a.m. at Milltown Christian Church.
Funeral: Thursday, March 14, at 1 p.m. at the church with burial in the Milltown Cemetery.
