Lillian May Taylor Blackman, 91, Elizabeth, died Wednesday, March 6, 2013, at the Hosparus Inpatient Care Center in Louisville.
Born in Southern Indiana, she was the daughter of the late Roman Chester and Hester Pearl Farris Taylor.
She was a member of The Lighthouse United Methodist Church in Elizabeth.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Curtis E. Blackman; a brother, Edgar Roman Taylor; two sisters, Iola and Viola Taylor; her stepmother, Nellie Conrad Taylor; and two great-grandsons, Austin Wayne Woertz and Shawn Curtis Blackman.
Survivors include a daughter, Anita K. Bube of Elizabeth who cared for her; a son, Gerald E. Blackman of Elizabeth; three sisters, Cora Taylor Kirkham, Ruby Taylor Lynch and Irma Taylor Davis; six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Visitation: Friday, March 8, from 1 to 8 p.m. and Saturday, March 9, after 9 a.m. at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon.
Celebration of Life: Saturday, March 9, at 2 p.m. at the funeral home with burial in Bethesda Cemetery near Elizabeth.
Officiants: Pastor Rex Jones and Minister Janet Rae Blosser.
Pallbearers: Travis and Tyler Higdon, Brad and Nick Blackman, Scott Lynch and Karl D. Bube.
The family suggests memorial gifts to The Lighthouse United Methodist Church or Hosparus of Southern Indiana.
