1 dies in 2-vehicle crash

A Central woman died as a result of injuries suffered last week in a two-vehicle crash on S.R. 11 near Maple Road near Elizabeth.
According to a release from the Harrison County Sheriff’s Dept., at about 6:30 in the evening Feb. 19, a 2006 GMC truck being driven by Christopher Stull, 37,
of Guston, Ky., struck an eastbound 2001 Chevrolet passenger car driven by Crystal Milchling, 31.
Milchling, who was employed at the Corydon Walmart Supercenter, suffered fatal injuries from the collision.
Milchling’s daughter, who was a backseat passenger, had to be extricated due to being trapped. The child, who turned 7 this month, was alert and conscious during the extraction and was flown to Kosair Children’s Hospital in Louisville, where she was listed in critical condition.
Stull was transported by Harrison County EMS to University Hospital in Louisville and was listed in stable condition later that evening.
According to police, Milchling was wearing her seat belt but Stull was not.
The crash remains under investigation.
