Bobby E. Sturgill

Bobby Earl Sturgill, 74, Leavenworth, died Wednesday, Jan. 16, 2013, at his home.
Born July 11, 1938, in Livingston, Ky., he was the son of the late John L. and Emma Elizabeth Thomas Sturgill.
He was a Navy veteran, a former superintendent with Hudson Foods and a member of Old Union Christian Church in Sulphur.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, the former Gretchen Adamson; an infant daughter, Cheryl Sturgill; three brothers, James, Walter and Charlie Sturgill; and two sisters, Maggie Shelton and Linda Cole.
Survivors include his wife, the former Edie Sturgeon; a son, John Sturgill of Corydon; a daughter, Bobbie Briscoe of Lanesville; three brothers, Samuel Sturgill of Mount Sterling, Ky., Chet Sturgill of Vinton, Va., and J.T. Sturgill of Cardington, Ohio; a sister, Gladys Baker of Louisville; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Visitation: Friday, Jan. 18, from 2 to 8 p.m. and Saturday, Jan. 19, after 9 a.m. at Gehlbach & Royse Funeral Home in Corydon.
Funeral: Saturday, Jan. 19, at 2 p.m. at the funeral home with burial in Leavenworth Memorial Gardens.
Officiant: The Rev. Lester Coffman.
