Luther Wagner Jr.

Luther Wagner Jr., 86, died Wednesday, Jan. 9, 2013, at Floyd Memorial Hospital and Health Services in New Albany.
Born in Strawberry Plains, Tenn., he was the son of the late Luther and Rosie Edmond Wagner Sr.
He was a World War II Army veteran and a retired truck driver for The Courier-Journal, with 33 years of service.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, the former Alma M. Brown, and two brothers, James and John Wagner.
Survivors include three children, Daniel A. and Dale C. Wagner and Robin Grossman; a sister, Hazel L. Newman; and six grandchildren.
Visitation: Friday, Jan. 11, from noon to 4 p.m. at Owen Funeral Home in Louisville.
Funeral: Friday, Jan. 11, at 4 p.m. at the funeral home.
The family suggests memorial gifts to Pfrimmer’s Chapel United Methodist Church ‘Mercy Street Ministry.’
