Webster (Web) C. Trusty, 93, Corydon, formerly of West Fork, died Thursday, Dec. 6, 2012, at 11:30 p.m. at his home.
Born Sept. 21, 1919, in Poplar Bluff, Mo., he was the son of the late George Trusty and Flora Shoemaker.
He was an Army veteran of World War II, owner-operator of Trusty Tires, former owner of Trusty General Store in West Fork, a school bus driver for Crawford County schools for many years and a member of Bethel (Doolittle Mills) Christian Church, Branchville Masonic Lodge (50 years), Shriner’s, English VFW and the Alton American Legion.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant son.
Survivors include his wife of 71 years, the former Theda Knight; four children, Carol Faulkenburg, Linda Fogle and Steve Trusty, all of Corydon, and Michael Trusty of Marengo; 11 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
Visitation: Sunday, Dec. 9, from 1 to 8 p.m. and Monday, Dec. 10, after 9 a.m. at Denbo Funeral Home in English.
Funeral: Monday, Dec. 10, at 1 p.m. at the funeral home with burial in Tic Ridge Cemetery.
Officiants: The Revs. Larry Martin and Tom Nixon.
