Lloyd W. Rothrock, 60, Bloomington, died Wednesday evening, Nov. 28, 2012, at Indiana University Health Bloomington Hospital.
Born in Corydon, he was the son of Sherman and Ethel Taylor Rothrock of Corydon.
He graduated from Corydon High School in 1970, earned an associate’s degree as an electronics technician at United Electronics Institute, worked for Bluegrass Army Depot near Lexington, Ky., until it closed then at Crane Naval Weapons Support Depot until he retired, with more than 40 years of civil service, worked part time at Sears in Bloomington, was a member of Sherwood Oaks Christian Church, where he served the board as its secretary, and was a deacon, was a member and treasurer of Kingdom Builders Men’s Group and was an amateur ham radio operator.
Survivors besides his parents include his wife of 33 years, the former Marsha Davis Rothrock; and a sister, Roxanne Perucca of Corydon.
Visitation: Sunday, Dec. 2, from 2 to 6 p.m. at Allen Funeral Home in Bloomington and Monday, Dec. 3, from 10 to 11 a.m. at Sherwood Oaks Christian Church in Bloomington.
Celebration of Life service: Monday, Dec. 3, at 11 a.m. at the church with burial at 3 p.m. in Thompson Chapel Cemetery near Corydon.
The family suggests memorial gifts to Sherwood Oaks Christian Church, American Diabetes Association or Monroe County Humane Society.
